My Mums name is Julie Ann Taylor, she died on 11th october 2007, aged 47.
We have a wonderful family which she loved so much. Mum is married to my dad who is called Michael Taylor, three children Melissa, Ryan and Elizabeth. She has 3 Brothers Ken, Colin and Derek and one Sister called Karen. She was an Aunty to James and Chris. Her Mum and Dad are called Phyllis Tierney and Eric Tierney. But Sadly Gramps (Eric) died on 28th Feb 1999.
My Mum was such a loving, Caring and warm person. she would light up so many lives of people around her. i know my mum loved me and my brother and sister so much. whenever we needed her help she would always be there she wouldnt let anybody hurt us. She looked out for everyone and made sure everyone was happy. My mum has so many friends who helped her in situations and i know she really appreciate it.
Mum loved her life, she loved being in our back garden and planting plants. Mum loved her flowers our house would always have flowers in and you wouldnt see the garden looking untidy it would always be perfect. Mum would always laugh, i remember this one time when we were on holiday in Greece and there were these donkeys and me and my dad went on them and it was at the top of this hill and the donkeys went so fast my dad couldnt get on them so they nearly left him behind. My mum couldnt stop laughing for days, and still now i know she will be laughing with me.
my mum loved so many things she loved spending time with her family, going out shopping. my mum couldnt help herself treating us to things. she had such a giving spirit inside her.
But last year my mum got Breast Cancer which really shocked us. i remember her walking in the door and telling us she had it. I just remember thinking i am going to lose my mum. My Mum was such a fighter she wouldnt let anything stop her, she kept on going like nothing was happening. i remember one day thinking everything was going to be ok. However, a few months later mum started to get really bad back ache and couldnt walk that far but still nothing would stop her. She was lay in Bed one day and i remember coming home from work and seeing her lay there the worse i had ever seen her and i told her she had to go to hospital and my Dad was comforting her and telling her it would be the best thing to do.
Then we found out the disease had gone into her Bones and we got told she only had 6 weeks to live. my heart broke into a million pieces, i just couldnt believe it, my life just stopped. My whole family fell to pieces. It was the hardest thing to deal with. My brother is only 15 and my Sister was only 13 at the time. All i thought was how are we going to cope without her.
When i found out i spent every minute i could with her and was in tears everyday. i didnt want my mum to see my crying but all i wanted to do was cuddle her all the time and never let her go. My mum was in so much pain and i just wanted to take it all away from her. She was so strong and i am proud of her.
I use to look after her and make sure she had everything she needed. My dad, Nanna and my Aunty (Karen) were with her all the time and i know my mum really loved us being there and having special memories with her.
about 2 weeks into what we had been told, we got her a place at Trinity Hospice where she could be looked after 24/7 and have a good quailty of life. My mum was happy she was there and so was i. Me and my dad would take her around the gardens where she loved to be out in the sunshine. There are so many good memories there with all our family. I always remember holding her hand at night time and her dropping off to sleep and telling her i loved her because i never knew if that was the last time i would see her.
Then on the 11th October she passed away. The day before, i knew that was the last day and i remember telling my Nanna that was it. i didnt want to leave her but i knew i had to.
At her funeral, the church was packed, there wasnt an empty seat. There was so many Flowers what she wanted and i am so happy we did her proud. There were people there that i didnt know but my mum mentioned them and i was so happy that they turned up, and so many close friends that she has left behind.
My mum meant everything to me, words dont even describe how much i miss her. There isnt one day that i dont think about her or shed a tear. My Mum was so proud of me, my brother and sister and we know we have to make my mums wishes come true for her.
i have so many memories and pictures that i look at everyday and think i am so glad i had 18 years with her and to have her back i wouldnt do anything. She was my world. My life without her just isnt the same anymore.
I know i will see my mum one day, and she is still with me now watching over me being my angel.
